OPS Expands with New Opportunities

Operational Performance Solutions, Inc. (OPS), a Maryland-based, Veteran-Owned Small Business, is expanding its team to accommodate recent successes in garnering work to bring Lean and continuous process improvement to state government agencies. During the past year, OPS has added several key team members to reflect opportunities for work in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware, and is now seeking to add to its team of Lean consultants and facilitators.

In January of this year, OPS brought on Doug Howard as Vice-President of Government Services. Doug has an extensive background in business management and government services. Doug provides Lean training, assists with Value Stream Analysis Process (VSAP) Lean events and supports overall marketing and outreach efforts. He has had a long-standing relationship as an advisor to OPS since its inception in 2008.

In August of this year, OPS also welcomed Courtney Judy as Administrative Coordinator. Courtney brings great enthusiasm and experience, having held several positions in office administration. She immediately jumped into the role of training support; preparing materials for training, handling schedules and processing surveys from Lean training sessions. Her areas of responsibility also include development of internal office processes and coordination of company social media.

OPS is adding to its excellent cadre of instructors and facilitators by launching an internal training process to bring new consultants/trainers in to the fold. This begins with an extensive program to learn process improvement according to the principles of "true Lean" and the OPS methodology for organizational transformation.

This is a time when most government agencies and departments are challenged by increasing demand for services with still very limited resources. It is an exciting time to see OPS working with numerous agencies to improve government processes, enhance customer service and utilize the principle of "creativity over capital" in making it happen.

OPS President, John Beakes, III stated, "We are committed to building our team and expanding our capacity to take on new challenges and garner even greater results for the government agencies we serve, all with the purpose of making government processes easier, better, faster and more cost effective. That is our mission."
