OPS Attendance at the Maryland Association of Counties (MACo) 2017 Summer Conference

The 2017 MACo Summer Conference was a great success. In addition to meeting many of the wonderful conference attendees, this year provided OPS the opportunity to brief Maryland Governor Larry Hogan on the important work OPS is currently doing to help government organizations improve performance. OPS President, John Beakes III, discussed with the Governor steps that neighboring states are taking to gain superior performance in quality, safety, responsiveness, schedule attainment, customer satisfaction, employee morale, and cost reduction.

Additionally, for the second year in a row, Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger assisted OPS present the 2017 OPS Lean in Government - Award of Excellence. The award is presented to individuals who have displayed significant leadership and vision in bringing the tools and principles of Lean into their areas, and successfully implementing it within their organization.
