Operational Performance Solutions (OPS) will be sending a leadership team to the 6th Annual Washington State Government Lean Transformation Conference in October. This event is hosted by Results Washington, Office of the Governor and is being held at the Greater Tacoma Convention & Trade Center. OPS will be at the conference as an attendee, exhibitor and sponsor.
The theme for this year's conference is, "Growing a Culture of Problem Solvers". Aimed at providing attendees with a forum to share ideas for using Lean principles to improve government processes and deliver greater value to the citizens, the conference will include presentations from Washington State government leaders, leaders from other governments and Lean professionals from various industries.
OPS is a Westminster-based, veteran-owned small business that has been providing Lean training and consulting services since its inception in 2008. Founded by father and son team John Beakes, Jr. and John Beakes, III, the company has a long and successful history bringing the principles and practices of "true Lean" to government including enterprise-wide projects for the City of Baltimore and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
According to John Beakes III, President of OPS, "We want to continually improve our own offerings and our techniques. The best way to do that is to interact with those in government that have successfully implemented Lean efforts to improve the customer experience. We expect to get lots of great ideas on our trip that we will incorporate into our holistic Lean approach."
