OPS has appointed Robert Klym to the position of Operations Manager, responsible for the coordination of all client services and the continuation of the company's reputation for delivery of superior quality work, on time, and within budget. In this new role, Robert will report to John Beakes, Jr., Chairman.

Robert is exceptionally well qualified for this position. He began his career in manufacturing on the plant floor at the Toyota plant in Georgetown, Kentucky, and during his nine years at Georgetown, he progressed through the ranks to win promotions to Team Leader and Group Leader. Promotions to those levels at Toyota require a deep understanding of the Toyota Production System and mastery of all aspects of its operation.

Robert then was selected to be Manager of a Competitive Manufacturing Group for General Motors (GM) in Pontiac, Michigan, where he focused on all aspects of process improvement and culture change in GM's Powertrain Division. During his eight years at GM, Robert trained over 1,000 employees in Lean Manufacturing and assisted with performance improvement projects in Powertrain plants in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Australia.

In 2007, Robert formed the Barek Group, which has provided process improvement services to clients that Include San Francisco's Bay Area Transit Group (BART), the United States Air Force, and Detroit Medical Center.

Robert has been associated with OPS since 2010, when the company began work at the Erie VA Medical Center. He has worked with OPS on projects for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and United Concordia, and he is playing a key role in the company's partnership with Censis Technologies to offer Process Improvement Services to the many hospitals that use their Censitrac software to manage Surgical Instrument Tracking and Management.

Robert is assuming the day-to-day operational responsibilities formerly led by John Beakes, III, who continues to advise OPS as a member of our Board of Advisors and Board of Directors.

Chairman John Beakes, Jr. notes that "I am very much looking forward to working closely with Robert to continue OPS's record of exceptional performance for our clients, and our effective interactions with the OPS team - in my opinion, the best group of hands-on, results-oriented process improvement professionals in the business. Robert's superb background and record of success make him very well qualified for this important responsibility."
